A.J. Decker house, now Victorian Charm Inn, was built in 1897 by A.J. Decker. Mr. Decker, a wealthy lumberman and banker, built this 30 room home for his family. The interior features oak, cherry and pine woodwork and floors. The third floor was originally a ballroom later modified by the Mandeville family.

Mr.
Mandeville owned a bakery in downtown Towanda and after losing almost everything in the stock market he closed his bakery and moved it into his house. He and his family then converted the house into a bed and breakfast. They then began renting rooms, a few of them were to the local police.  The police had their station in what is now our ladies' parlor.
